Now I'm just pissed at the publishing industry and feel sorry for
her. She seems to have been a kid that was in way over her head. How come I feel this wouldn't have happened under the eye of editors like Max Perkins or Sterling Lord? Should we be blaming Little, Brown? I am.

I know I'm awful because it took me about two months to finally cruise over to your blog and look around - but I finally did today and I am seriously impressed. I guess I knew about your book fetish before now, and of course, you're in publishing, so obviously you're an avid fan of literature, but I am still astounded by the sheer volume of reading you do, not to mention the variety of your reading list. Your list makes me feel like a giant slacker. But I'll definitely check back for book reviews when planning a trip to B&N. Good stuff!

Stefanie - I don't know what it is, but I just feel she was in over her head and the publishers failed to help her in any way. How about employing a proofreader and fact checker once in awhile.
